POSITION DETAILS

The Australian Embassy in Lima is looking for an enthusiastic and talented student to join our team:

POLICY SUPPORT INTERN:

Under close direction, assist with the creation and editing of multimedia content, including videos and graphic pieces for specific Embassy networks and campaigns on digital platforms; edit and enhance audiovisual materials ensuring high quality production through video editing and graphic design tools; research and write  engaging blog posts and stories on a variety of topics relevant to the relationship between Australia and Peru/Bolivia; support and assist the events organised as part of the Embassy’s public engagement program; conduct research and assist drafting reports on political, economic and trade issues; develop databases for the Embassy’s Alumni engagement program and Direct Aid Program (DAP) in order to leverage the team’s stakeholders engagement and improve our reporting tools; and provide general administrative support to the Embassy Policy Team.

Qualifications:

  • High level written and spoken English and Spanish communication skills.
  • Well-developed research, writing and reporting skills.
  • Creative, adaptable, detail oriented and be able to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Demonstrated organisational and strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work as a small team.
  • Basic understanding of image and video editing software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premier, Capcut or online tools like Canva or similar.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and Word.

*This is not a remote position. The selected candidate must be available to work in person in our office located in Lima, Peru.
